The 2010 World Computer Chess Championship, hosted by JAIST in Kanazawa, Japan, will be the strongest championship in the history of the event. Already 14 entries have been accepted, including some newcomers to the event from countries that have not previously been represented: Brazil, Cuba and Poland. The list currently includes programs from all four of the winning stables that have claimed the title during the past eleven years: Shredder (winner in 1999 and 2003), Deep Junior (winner in 2002 and 2006), Rybka (winner in 2007, 2008 and 2009), and Rondo (an enhanced version of Zappa, winner in 2005).

The ICGA will still consider applications for participation in this championship.

At the 10th Conference on Computer and Games (CG2010) around 20 papers will be presented.

Entries are still open for the Computer Olympiad.
