Chess Tiger used to be a very good tactical program, but has been improved to include more positional knowledge and is now a more balanced chess player. Chess Tiger is still developed under the sun, in Guadeloupe (French West Indies).

The only tiger playing chess in the world! This program, developed under the Caribbean sun, is a blitz specialist. Recently it has greatly been improved and rewritten for 32 bits processors, bringing its level close to the best "state of the art" PC computer chess
